CNBC's Faber reporting Newscorp (NWS) has made an unsolicited bid of $60 for DJ. That huge premium may enable NWS to overcome potential Bancroft family opposition.
From an industry standpoint, a combo of Dow Jones' Wall Street Journal and a Fox Business News cable channel would be a huge business news juggernaut. .
NY TImes Co (NYT) is flying higher now, rising by better than 8%.
