Big Ben Speaks

There are plenty of summaries on the web and you've probably seen a Bernanke story already, but just in case click here. There wasn't much of immediate impact to the financial markets, but of longer term concern is the issue of trade barriers which could certainly have a harmful effect. Bernanke also waxed philosophical on what needs to be done to shrink the income gap. His solution is education and that certainly makes a great deal of sense. But good luck with that in this MTV world of instant gratification where zero morals and laziness has largely captured the hearts and minds of many a youth, replacing hard work and achievement.
